Springfield WORKS Community Empowerment Initiative
The
Springfield WORKS Collaborative seeks to remove systemic and racial barriers to create pathways to economic opportunity and well-being for all. Partners include employers, training institutions, community based organizations, resident parents, and others who work together to build a thriving, resilient community.

Our goals are:
- Anyone in Springfield will be able to find a job who wants one, retain the job, increase earnings, and experience job satisfaction through career growth.
- Systems are aligned to support impactful workforce ecosystem.
- Employers are able to hire workers that match their needs, and retain workers by investing in their well-being.
This work began through a grant from the Community Empowerment and Reinvestment Program (CERP) to better understand the needs of justice-involved individuals and their families to close service gaps, empower residents, and create access to the resources they need to thrive.
